Thank You, for Responding to My Call

A MEDJUGORJE PILGRIM'S PRAYER

Lord, as I begin this pilgrimage, help me always remember that I am a pilgrim, not a tourist.

If things do not happen according to schedule, may I remember that I am a pilgrim, not a tourist.

If I become tired or impatient, may I remember that I am a pilgrim, not a tourist.

If a meal is not quite to my liking, may I remember that I am a pilgrim, not a tourist.

If delays occur and I become anxious, may I remember that I am a pilgrim, not a tourist.

If another pilgrim is making noise and I cannot hear the guide, help me be patient and considerate.

If someone gets a better seat or a more desirable spot, may I remember that I am a pilgrim, not a tourist.

If I find myself last in line or waiting, may I remember that I am a pilgrim, not a tourist.

If someone else buys the last item I had hoped to purchase, may I remember that I am a pilgrim, not a tourist.

If I have an opportunity to help someone who may be difficult to get along with, may I remember that I am a pilgrim, not a tourist.

If someone is always the last to board the bus while I am ready and waiting, grant me patience and understanding.

But Lord, above all, help me remember that what I sometimes find objectionable in others may also be found in myself.

Let me be mindful of my own shortcomings and forgive others, just as You are always forgiving me.

AMEN
